GROUP OF CYPRIOT ANTIQUITIES

CYPRUS, VARIOUS DATES

Collected in Cyprus prior to 1940, this group is comprised of a bloom of native Cypriot copper, a fossilized prehistoric tooth in jaw bone matrix, a bronze fibula or fitting, a Roman bronze turtle, a bronze fragment with crenellated edge, a medieval shield-shaped fitting, two fragmentary lead objects, three medieval or later bronze fittings, and a fragmentary canine tooth showing copper staining from burial.
